I want to install antivirus software on four computers. What brand of antivirus software would be the best and most cost effective? I have Bresnan high-speed cable for an ISP and they have a security manager software that has antivirus but I have found it to be very poorly written and is the source of many problems my computers how have. I want to be protected, I see that McAfee has a 3 computer license, but how is it compaired to Norton or any of the many others.

PCTools products do get good reviews. The good thing is they have free versions of their products. They work great. Spyware Doctor from the Google pack is a must. I highly recommend it. I bought Webroots Spysweeper and spyware doctor finds stuff spysweeper does not. Having both is a perfect combo and I recommend running two anti-spyware products.
