I recommend AVG as an anti virus, although eTrust's 12 month free trial is excellent (I'm using it and am extremely impressed).

If you need other programs, go for Zone Alarm firewall, AVG anti spyware (formerly Ewido) and SpywareBlaster.

Bitdefender is coming with antivirus and firewall also. it is good and effective and userfriendly.

*** make sure **** you download it from CNET or some other reputable site because there are places online that tell you you are downloading these two ANTI-spyware programs and instead you will download *real* spyware or trojans or some other nasty stuff.
