What's to be meant by 'dump'? Please explain your problem, state exactly how your computer behaves when you try to run an anti-virus. Does it happen with every anti-virus that you have tried? Do you have more than one anti-virus on your computer?

maybe your ram is not enough to run the software.
some AV like norton like to suck up your ram to fulfill it "energy" to search for malware.
maybe you should change to AV like AVG and avast that don't suck up your ram.
i prefer avast.

run spybot, and make sure your using a real antivirus like mcafee. norton. or avg (not antivirus gold)
Start in safe mode %26 run it in case a virus is overriding it.
