Since you are electing the Premium Edition, can you add more RAM? That OS can pull hard on the RAM listed, by the time you add more programs or play any big games it's going to get sluggish.

Are all these virus or worms or spyware?

Can I asked the Anti Virus soft ware to erase these

without affecting my computer functions.

The reason I am asking these is that in the past I had

the experience asking the AntiVirus software to erase

and then to fnd out that I either cannot enter firefox or cannot my email or cannot hear my regular played

music.

Do not delete any Adware files , Win (widows files), do not delete spyware or cd load eveything else can go. the others will effect you entiring your e-mail and for music start downloading through Limewire if you dont want any problems and it's free.

Do not delete any file instead uninstall your antivirus and operate windows it will be better for you according to my Knowledge OF Computer.

You will got a problem but not so early if antivirus delete these files you suddenly can crupt windows so uninstall any antivirus which you are using and run windows manually you will got problem after a lot time then you must reinstall window with McFee Antivirus it's very nice Antivirus.

Remember when you install windows then surely you must also install an Antivirus Then It Will Be Good for you

When I turn on my pc , I saw these things : This copy of windows didnt pass genuine windows validation and you havent yet resolved the problem . this copy of windows is no longer eligible to receive the full range of upgrades and product support available from microsoft . to protect ur copy of windows click resolve now-resolve later

After then , I clicked on resolve now , nothing happened , the screen was still blue all the time , i kept waiting and waiting then I reseted my pc and made another choice later . everything would be ok , I could use my pc as usual . i dont know if I will get it next time then what should i do ? is it dangerous ? my pc has no antivirus software so im scared to connect internet , once time i tried with karpersky 6.0 but the ram is 64 mb and didnt seem fit for this as it required 128mb .

you may want to get the orginal windows and install that. That could clear up the problem. But before you do that, install an anti-virus program, then scan your computer for any virues or malaware. it could be a virus since it only comes up once in a while. After scans, if it isn't a virus, then it is potentially dangerous. Immediately get the original windows software and upload it.

you've been running your pc with NO antivirus protection?

chances are you have a major virus

and if you haven't made a backup copy of your computer (which you should do every few months depending on how much stuff you download to your pc)

and you should NEVER NEVER NEVER run your pc without any antivirus protection

and if your pc is a much older unit.. you may want to get a newer model as they have much more RAM and hard drive on them at a cheaper price than what pc's cost 10 yrs ago....

Computer reinstalled windows xp on its own...? I lost everything!?

Went to turn my computer off and it went to some start up screen that said "Installing software" so I thought it was a windows update or something so I just let it go but omg... My computer reinstalled windows on its own! Everything is gone, pictures, applications, games, music... EVERYTHING! I will add that the night before this happened I ran all my antivirus software, I defragmented it, and ran disk cleanup and no problems were found. I dont care about ANYTHING except my sons pictures (which total somewhere between 500 and 1.5k) I was going to save them all onto a disks at about 5 and it did this at 3. I dont care what it takes but I want my pictures back, and I dont care about anything else. Please tell me how to get them all back. I cant use go back or windows recovery... I already tried. Please help.

Go to Major Geeks.com. Download a trial of TuneUp Utilities 2007 (which keeps working after the trial, but is well worth buying--best utility kit ever!)

Use the deleted file recovery program, and bring up all files from the disk. Pick out the ones you wish to retrieve, and do this right away, before your disk is overwritten. Also, check the disk usage program. Some of your files will still be there, and this will show you every file stored on your disk.

My advice: try to download the "Stinger" - and when Stinger finds a trojan or virus, it might delete it. After your scan with Stinger you should get a good antivirus software. You can download AVG Free or AVAST for free - but ONLY one antivirus software on your computer - never more.

@Lee T: what you say is nonsense. I am using freeware stuffs for years (free antivirus and free antispy softwares) and I never had any problems with that. You can spend lots of money for "Norton", but every computer freak today knows that "Norton" is crap!

Hard drive with XP pro - need help recovering data Please!!?

XP Pro on drive- i got the Ws_war virus. so boot is Crazy slow. it eats up the TCPIP stack. So I build a different hard drive with XP pro on in and installed all the antivirus software- everything is good. I now take my original HD that wouldnt boot anymore and slave it to the new HD I need to get my documents and data off of it but i get and error message that says access denied with I drill down to the documents and settings directory on the old HD to get to the MyDocuments Dir in my profile. is there any NTFS software out there or what can I do to get my data off of the old drive. I have checked to make sure that file attirbutes are set not to be hidden.

You should be able to boot into safe mode on the new hard drive and then take ownership of the restricted files/folders via the properties panel. Right click on the folder and there should be a tab that says ownership or something, and make sure you give ownership to the username you are logged in as.

ok on my computer at the bottom of my start toolbar a blinking icon keeps blinking with a red x looking thing on it... i currently have a antivirus software installed in my computer..my software found the spyware and deleted it.
