How do I find out what are the processes Windows XP is running during boot up?

I am having a slow boot up and shutdown time although one of the causes is antivirus software which will take a considerable amount of time. But I want to know if there is any software or tools that I can use to see what are running in the background during the boot up and shutdown session in Windows XP Pro? tks

Go to Start -%26gt; Run -%26gt; Type in 'msconfig'. In the General tab, Select 'Selective Startup' and check all under it. Next, under the Startup tab, uncheck all the processes/applications which u don't need them to start automatically when booting up. If u're unsure what processes are unsafe to remove, visit http://www.processlibrary.com/ Just type in the processes and they'll tell u a brief bkgrd of the processes.

Just hit Ctrl+Alt+Delete, and the task manager will come up
Not sure if this will work on xp or not,but you can try this. Click the start button. Then click on run. In the run area type msconfig. There should be a tab caqlled startup. You can lookj in it to find out. I know it works with 95 98 me and 2000 pro for sure so maybe it will with xp
Right-click the task bar. Click on
