Crappy computer problem, some help?

Ok, my computer has been goin' fine until a few weeks ago. It started to FAIL. Whenever I run gameguard, it'll always pop out something 'bout 'a memory could not be referenced ... ' and 'Gameguard error 114' with KOREAN letters. Then I'll have to restart my computer and try all over again, with the same results most of the time, unless I get lucky. Sometimes, the fonts in it would just decide to change their size and go from big to small, including the restart button. My start menu would blank out and change into pseudo 'half-classic' appearance. Its real annoying and I'm wondering if anything serious is up with my computer. I don't remember downloading anything of late, so yeah ... Help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

P.S. Just so I could clear up some misunderstandings that occurred in my previous post :

1. I'm using Windows XP

2. Its only 'bout 1 and 1/2 years old

3. I DO have an antivirus software installed (AVG)
