Macintosh Virus?

Does the anouncement of the Mac OS X virus make any Apple users concerned about their security? Do you run antivirus software, or trust the OS to keep you safe?

There are indeed viruses for the mac os. I actually get a warm fuzzy feeling every time a mac user gets a virus because they had no protection, and just assumed none had ever been written for Mac. Anyway, Mcafee and Norton both have AV programs for Mac. Mcafee's is Virex and Norton's is still just Norton

The Leap-A virus that has been getting a lot of press recently does not exploit a vulnerability of Mac OS X, but rather relies on "social engineering" to infect your machine and spread. As long as you refrain from opening unexpected attachments that you get via chat and email, you should be alright. I still feel comfortable running without anti-virus software on my Mac.
i dont even think there are mac viruses but you can get Virex for virus protection
there are alot mac viruses out there in the wild, as a matter of fact two new had been discovered in the wild this week (leaf.a)

it is better to had an antivirus for your mac cause in this world there is no system that is completely safe.
