Winosz32.dll?software

yes, go to http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/Pr... and download process explorer and run it. Go to find-%26gt; find dll or handle and type in winosz32.dll. it will show you a list of processes that is using the file. Since you said your av can't delete it, I am assuming it's being used by winlogon and exlorer. if your search results say winlogon and explorer, go to the main process explorer screen and right click winlogon and choose suspend. then right click on explorer and choose kill process. then search for the .dll file, which should be in C:\windows\system32 and remove it. right click on winlogon in process explorer and unsuspend the process and restart your computer. good luck!

try formating or repairing the operating system .
It's a convoluted process, but here goes. Download and install something called HiJackThis. (try here: http://www.spychecker.com/program/hijack... Now do the following:

Can you look for this file

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\winosz32.dll

Delete it if found (run a virus scan to make sure no other instances are present, if you want to that is)

Do a "System scan only" with Hijackthis and put a check next to these entries:

O20 - Winlogon Notify: winosz32 - winosz32.dll (file missing)

After you have ticked the above entry, close All other open windows, including this one.

Leave Hijackthis open and click FIX CHECKED. OK the prompt and exit Hijackthis.

Reboot the computer.

Porblem solved... No re-formatting required.

KEEP YOUR VIRUS SCANNER UP TO DATE!!
