Internet acess is at public sites (public park, coffee shops, etc...) so protection thru the wireless provider is less than certain. The PDA is synched with my computer so I don't want to bring any surprises home.

yes. get norton for pdas. if there is connectivity there is risk of viruses and intrusion by hackers, take ur precautions and always back up information.
