I have installed windows liveone care, and it seems to slow down my laptop. Are there any antivirus software that doesn't stall network connection?

The best Anti-Virus by far is Trend Micro PC-Cillin Internet Security 2007. Now it does take up considerable resources just as most all anti-viruses. AVG is the easiest on resources and will let your computer run a little faster but it may miss some things that PC-Cillin stops.

Avast is a free and easy to use antivirus that takes up minimal amount of space and RAM. Go to download.com and type in avast and you should see it. Give it a try.

bull dog seems to work the best for me without loser that much performance. I can't really tell the differnece.
AVG Free, is a very good free anti-virus. I had problems with virus' and spyware and was actually recommended to this by the experts behind getting rid of this.
